Remove Recommended content in Kindle Paperwhite

Kindle paper white provide recommended content on your home page. It checks the type of the books you are browsing and downloading on amazon store and provides the suggestion. If you Don't need suggestions from Amazon for books you might like? Remove it from your home screen by going to Menu > Settings > Device Options > Personalize Your Kindle > Recommended Content.

Turn Kindle Off  Kindle 

There is a power button just aside of charging point. Press and hold the power button for 7 seconds then release to turn off kindle. When powered off the screen is totally blank.

You can also take screenshots on most other Kindle devices (and devices that run the Kindle app). Here's the rundown:

Kindle (formerly known as the Kindle Touch).

Press and hold the Home button and then tap anywhere on your screen. As with the Paperwhite, you'll need to connect to a computer to retrieve the screenshot.

Kindle Keyboard (also Kindle 3 and DX).

Press Alt-Shift-G on the keyboard. Pics are stored in the Documents folder. Again, connect to a computer to get to them.

Kindle 4.

Kindle Fire 2 and Kindle Fire HD (that have a volume button).

Where as if you are planning to remove books from Kindle cloud means you are removing that particular book permanently

Note : Before you do this, please make sure you understand that if you delete a book completely from your Kindle Cloud, you will not be able to read it any more unless you purchase the book again.

2) Select the books you want to delete, and then click on "Delete" button.

Once you select your book and press delete. (you can select multiple books at a time). It will ask you for an pop up for delete confirmation again as shown in the below figure. If you select delete it will be permanently deleted from your kindle cloud.
